RFEA Families Programme

RFEA’s Families Employment Programme supports civilian spouses and partners of serving and ex-Forces personnel on their journey into employment.

Frequent moves, relatively isolated locations and employer reluctance often impact the ability for military spouses and partners to build ‘normal’ lives and careers.

Many experience challenges finding jobs and barriers to returning to work after breaks. Securing roles that meet the needs, skills and aspirations of spouses and partners within geographical reach can also be difficult.

Our dedicated Advisors are spouses; they understand. They provide one to one advice and guidance, employability and employment support including bespoke career and training diagnostics, CV and application assistance, interview techniques, coaching and mentoring, links to local business and RFEA’s extensive database of nationwide employers.

Joanne was proactive in contacting me and offering her services within a short space of time of me signing up. She was extremely helpful when training me on Microsoft Teams but also friendly and supportive throughout the whole process. She looked at my CV, made suggestions and forwarded some relevant job vacancies. I cannot praise her enough.

The programme is open to civilian spouses and partners of still serving and ex-service personnel including divorced spouses and widows, subject to eligibility checks.
