Families Programme

Our Families Programme supports spouses and partners of still-serving personnel and veterans, including divorced, separated, and bereaved, on their journey into employment. We understand service life and transition can impact the whole family, so we also offer mentoring and career guidance to service children and young people aged 16-24.

Frequent moves, relatively isolated locations and employer reluctance often impact the ability of military spouses and partners to build ‘normal’ lives and careers. Many experience challenges finding jobs and barriers to career progression due to caring responsibilities, separation, and bereavement. Securing roles that meet their needs, skills and aspirations within geographical reach can also be difficult.

Our dedicated Advisors are spouses; they understand. They provide one-to-one advice and guidance, employability and employment support, including bespoke career and training diagnostics, CV and application assistance, interview techniques, coaching and mentoring, links to local businesses and our extensive database of nationwide employers.

“Joanne was proactive in contacting me and offering her services within a short space of time of my signing up. She looked at my CV, made suggestions and forwarded some relevant job vacancies. I cannot praise her enough.”
