RFEA Partners with See Potential Campaign

RFEA was pleased to partner with the Government’s See Potential Campaign at their Employing Military Veterans Event.  Chloe Mackay, our COO, spoke about the work of the Charity at an event introduced by DWP Minister Caroline Dineage.

The event was targeted at employers who do not currently recruit military veterans. It showcased the work of some of the employers who work closely with RFEA, demonstrating the value that they place on military experience within their workforce and how they operate their ex military recruitment.  Speakers included the BT Group, Deloitte, Jaguar Landrover, FDM, JP Morgan and the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

Last year RFEA worked with 7,000 employers.  The employers that we work with are looked after by dedicated Employer Relationship Managers, who are based across the UK so that they understand local employment markets and the businesses they are working with.

Our employers are able to connect with ex armed forces in a number of ways.  CTP Employment Fairs run every month in venues across the country.  These employment fairs are open to Service Leavers who are eligible for CTP support and to Veterans.  The next one we are holding is at Telford on 9th November.  There will be about 80 organisations present including FDM Group, Jaguar Landrover, DHL and BAE Systems.  We also support employers to operate presentations, insight days and Livechat events where employers and veterans can connect online.

We operate a specialist jobs board where employers can post job vacancies that are suitable for the skills and attributes of ex forces.  Last year, we publicised 80,000 job opportunities. If you would be interested in finding out more, go to our website at www.rfea.org.uk
